Taiwan is no Hong Kong.....
The free world gave Hong Kong to the chinese...
there is no such dynamic in place for Taiwan....
One morning, you will wake up and find china invading Taiwan...They will not give up....I do not think that they will blow up the foundries, but they will take over in 2000. The big question is, what will the US do? then!

Anybody remember the sales growth % of these companies during the early stages of the last boom cycle (92-93)?

Did the AMAT's/LRCX's show 100 percent sales growth back then? I remember them reporting that in 95, but I'm wondering if this was consistent throughout the cycle.

I'm concerned because these companies are showing this growth now. Is it because the last downturn was so severe or is this normal?
