Listened to a radio show tonight on the way home. Guy calls himself the Wizzard. Does charts and crystal ball reading on the radio. Trying to sell his newsletter for $200 a year. Caller called in and asked for a reading on a stock. Wizard asked for name of company, caller said don't know. Gave symbol instead, Wizard asked what does company do? Caller said don't know. Wizard said why did you buy? Caller said tip. Stock was up $1 and 1/2 for day. Caller asked for PO. Scary. P.S. How rich we gonna be? How about RMBS?

JXM, Well, I didn't buy stocks, but I did borrow a huge pile (50K)of money (at the time it was a huge to me) for the down payment to buy our first business. This was when I was working in the arctic and I could service the debt. Let me tell you, it definitely puts a heightened state of awareness on one's psyche. At least it was somewhat backed up by the real estate in the business. Actually turned out to the best move I ever made, except marrying arnowife and becoming a piffer, of course. -gg- arno dancingwiththedevil.com
