The country is finally starting to realize what we in Texas has known for years. The more you see of W, the less there is.

Arch-conservative Bill Bennett?, of "The Virtues" fame? Thuggish? Please elaborate. Maybe he recognizes character when he sees it. Everything to you is some nefarious "ex-Trotskyite" conspiracy. You darkly mumble about Kristol and co. like a soviet apparatchik mumbling about Khruschev.

Charles, Bennett is not particularly thuggish, nor was he ever a Troskyite (he was a Democrat). Irving was a Trotskyite, but never William. I cannot recall about Frum......McCain is irritating me, but I do not think associating him with "Trotskyites", even exes, makes a lot of sense......Also, of course, a guy like Whittaker Chambers was an ex- Stalinist. Did that make him a bad guy in the long run?
