I have been inside fabs for more then 20 years and they are a pretty site<GGG>. I am homesick for them. As far as the fabs being fitted out, I tend to believe the fabs are being upgraded. I only know of a few fabs (IDTI, INTC, MOT, OAK, MU, Hyundai) that might have extra brick and mortar in place to dill out. However, some of these may need to be remodelled for the advanced devices and most of them need to have the equipment upgraded. I think we will have and expansion and upgrade cycle that will keep the pipelines full until the new 300mm construction finishes this upturn cycle. There are 8" -12" trasition tools but we will still have a healthy 300mm build cycle going out to late 2001 and all of 2002. Andrew
