Hmmmm, why does that quote resonate so well over the years, with another famous quote, something about a permanent plateau, blue sky kind of thing, what was that gentleman's name....Irving Fischer 1929?
Nah, couldn't be, the bears have been rumbling that stuff for years, I think the last one just croaked.

PS, in doing a quick websearch to confirm Irvings name, I had difficulty finding reference to his quote. My my I thought it was common knowledge, poor deluded dino that I am. (Of course, I started on Yahoo, Netscape and some others with a vested interest, OTOH, I am sure they never heard of old Irv... VBG)
