Amein --

I have not forgotten your post requesting verification. Haven't had time to document it (but I will attempt to do so in the next few days). But I can assure you with great certainty that the factoid is true. Actually, I *think* there might have been a OTC-BB trading below $5 that might have nipped CMGI, but we were the only "legitimate" one at the top.

Brian Maloy, my apologies ... it seems that it was published and mentioned on CNBC that CMGI was in fact the #1 NAZ performer over the past 5 years... which means that you, and whoever knew of it, are more informed than myself... having said that, I am long CMGI and am not concerned about it the least... and I guess my confidence has become my shortcomings...

again, my apologies

best regards
amein

Here's a reprint:

The founder and driving spirit of Andover-based CMGI, he has quietly built a small and unsteady marketing company into an Internet powerhouse. Riding the mania for high-tech stocks, CMGI now equals FleetBoston Financial Corp. in market value and towers over such old-line stalwarts as Raytheon Co. Since CMGI went public in 1994, its shares have increased an eye-popping 71,000 percent, more than any other Nasdaq stock of the past six years. Last year alone, shares rose 940 percent.
