What did you mean by your statement, "We're Screwed"

Do you think that Microsoft should just lay down and die??
Let the judge make his adverse arrogant and prejudicial ruling and the case will become a Presidential Campaign issue. The Republicans will swarm on this and Gore's illegal fund raising campaign. This case never was based on any solid evidence of law or fairness. It is based on a mission to extort and rip off a successful company.Let the people and the Supreme court give the final stand and word.

You can count on a great deal of political posturing before settlement, especially on the part of the Government.

In fact, uncle Sam needs to have it over with as much as Mr. Softie. The competitive landscape is changing so fast that the browser war will one day - and soon - become irrelevant.

We've been screwed by our own Company in some ways. They
need to conceed this lose and go forward. I really don't
want my dollars tied-up with a bunch of management that
is more interested in arrogance than in shareholder value.
The writing is on the wall, settle this lawsuit, spend
your money on innovation, and go forward. We, as stockholders, have already suffered considerably by the
lack of MSFT management to seriously put forward a proposal
that settles this matter. The problem at this point is
simply BAD MANAGEMENT.

Retrospectively, management should of had a serious
proposal (which they have not provided to date) in the
hands of the arbitrator long before now. This latest
proposal appears to be typical MSFT PR.
