(Chop -- Why encourage these guys...if they want out...wish them well and be happy they won't be around to compete with your ioi's in the next cycle...the more that leave the game now, the better it will be for the "survivors"...)

OKAY guys, you're right. IPOs suck and always will. Only fools hang around for scraps. Buy your old economy value plays and make a fortune...ciao!!

I've been following the IPO market for over four years and it is like everything else in the stock market. There are up and down cycles. When you see almost every IPO raise its range and then have significant pops at the opening you know a downturn is coming. You just never know when its going to occur. At some point in time an uptrend will begin again. Could be very soon or could take weeks. If the down turn is a drawn out affair you should see less IPOs hitting the market, the ranges won't increase prior to the trading date and you won't see many pricing above the range. Doesn't mean there won't be a hot one once in awhile. MSDW had SLAB this past week and it worked out OK. Too bad I didn't get any. Just MHO on a boring weekend.
