socialism/communism is death, and msft personifies both.

you would hand the reins over to hitler because he could build the worldbeater volkswagen bug and bring a great economy.

i'm not comparing the personalities, just the methods. Remember hitler was a god to the germans before the war started.

just as hitler was no benevolent despot, neither is gates/balmer - they don't give diddly about you or innovation.

they only care about MSFT maintaining its stranglehold on the computer industry, they are businessmen damnt, not benevolent rulers of computerdom.

there is nothing wrong with that desire, except that now, it's gotten out of control and gone beyond the tenets of the free enterprise system.

if we abandon that, we may as well go back to rule by kings.

Sandeep, that sounds like a reasonable solution...

That is, publishing the various API's to allow ISV's to develop various OS functionality. What is MSFT's current policy of making API's available to the developer community?
