Gary:

What a lot of investors have yet to lean is that the NAZ WILL NOT BE WHERE THE REAL ACTION IS IN THE NEXT BULL MARKET. The leaders in a bull almost never lead the next bull. Smart investors will be looking at the rest of the market for the big opportunities. The NAZ simply will not be where its at.

So I really don't care where it bottoms. I will be putting my investment dollars elsewhere.

Gary, at some point a retracement rally will no doubt begin...after all, some people out there ARE sitting on cash. but i don't think one needs to be in a hurry to commit oneself. the retracement rally will be sharp and profitable for those playing it, but i would prefer to buy near a secondary low.
btw, since everybody is so fixated on buying whatever low they expect to see on Monday, it seems to me that people are still complacent about the carnage. i for one think it is better to have some technical confirmation that a low will hold before i go out and buy it.
after all, in spite of the downturn, the Nasdaq and the big cap stocks remain at historical overvaluation extremes.

regards,

hb
