Tom,

8. Everybody (most everybody) needs a little handholding occasionally.

You are so right, which is why this thread is so special. The responses to elepet's post on GMST are just another example...

Again, many thanks to those here, especially during these "challenging" times.

My best,
Leslie

Tom,

<< Save your post and read it again in December. Betch things look different >>

Great post. I just clipped it and sent it to a good friend (former boss) who called Monday asking "should I sell Gemstar", along with the admonition to him, to buy "The Gorilla Game" (10th time I've told him that).

Now I think he is about ready to buy it, but I'll have to tell him 10 more times to read it.

Most people in the market today do not have the patience or desire to follow GG principles therefore I am not concerned that it will become so popular that it will lose its effectiveness.

areokat gets a gold star on his forehead for writing that. I told straight life that in San Diego. My opinion hasn't changed.

re 4. Annual returns of over 11% are abnormal

I have heard this over and over recently as everyone on radio, tv and in magazines warns us and warns us some more.
But if we really believe that our portfolio will now only grow at 11%, shouldn't we take any opportunity to sell everything when it doubles and triples in six months?
Any opinions are welcome!
