I still don't understand why anyone can blame anyone for stocks they buy. Doesn't everyone check out any "pick" before putting money behind it?

I like to read about a company from many different sources and get a "feel" for it myself before buying. In the few instances where I haven't done this, I usually end up loosing money. But then, I did not risk much to begin with since I didn't have time to DD it myself.

I'm still learning, but I really try hard not to buy anything based solely on anyone's opinion. I see charts, newsletters, message boards etc..as tools, that I need to learn to use, to make me a better investor and hopefully someday - trader :o) But none of those things alone make me or convince me to buy a stock.

You never really know the quality of your stock unless you know the bad stuff about it as well as the good. It's not always easy to make yourself search for bad stuff if you really like what you've seen so far, but if you do, it could give you an idea what to watch out for and let you know whether or not the good outweighs the bad - in your own opinion. After all, it's your money going into it.

Having said all that; I have been considering subscribing to the GG newsletter. I'm very impressed with his results overall and am a big believer in Technology for the future. Good debates help to see both sides of an issue, but when they become personal attacks versus debates, it doesn't help anyone. Tough questions can be asked in a civil manner that benefit all concerned. JMO.
