I certainly agree with you that it is good for the stock. But when it is excessive, it builds a premium in the stock valuation. This is great for current shareholders, but dangerous for newcomers.

You always have to ask yourself this question: if the string of good news stops, are the assets developed so far, rich enough to sustain the current stock price (and even higher stock price) ? If the answer is no, then the stock is highly speculative and adding more promotion can only be more dangerous for the potential new shareholders.
