Not pro-cuba - but I guess that was tongue in cheek. What does gold have to be equated with the Euro BTW? other than the fact that both are falling?

Help me understand something:

If gold is as "worthless" as many would have us believe, why are the lease rates for gold paid so much higher than interest paid in most bank accounts?
