Perhaps it wasn't you but someone on SI has recently made such observations.> Yes, I definitely said that. That's why I talk about AMD's need to stay ahead by about 3 speed grades to keep the pressure up on Intel. <Talk about putting the hammer on someone, this would just about do it...if the 1.5 GHz talk is true.> Think of it, 1.2G is at least 3 full speed grades ahead. I don't think there is a need to go further than that. Higher frequencies decrease AMD's margin of error without substantially improving ASPs or competitive pressure. Anything more than 1.2G is an overkill unless some server parts are being introduced at the same time which I don't think is happening. Chuck
