We got to talking about music on the Elian thread and I wanted to ask you what is your favorite style of music, and/ or musical group? I met a very nice person on the Elian thread who recommended a fantastic Andean music album. And I just started listening to Indian music and the Crash Test Dummies and I found another group I really like called Lit- I got their Place in the Sun album and I love it. I also like Bob Marley and Leonard Cohen (although his very very dark more recent work is a bit disturbing), and I like celtic music . And I love Mark Knoffler. I'm sure you've heard his stuff.

Thanks for noticing, especially since I provided the basis for today's discussion. But let me offer a parable: Suppose you are in a restaurant, a car backfires, and a man dives under the table. Is he having a nervous breakdown? A vet having a flashback? A coward? Coincidentally picking up change? A Mafia informant given a new identity, but aware that the mob has broken such secrets before, and may deal with him eventually? How can one tell, without more information? Sometimes the history is so dense, and subject to dispute, that one may never know..........
