Steve,re:Voice over Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) with the Alcatel SoftSwitch and Newbridge 36170 Gateway. biz.yahoo.com In Spring of 1999 NN has form JV with TeleHub forming product at that time so call 4000 platform which included TeleHub software, based on SS7 and NN's ATM 36170. I think this is now call 36170 Gateway. It is design to substitute class 4 tandem switch and possible class 5. Last year Bell Atlantic, SBC and several others(new carriers) were conducting tests.
