Jim <If AMD could just get a extra speed grade or two from T-bird now>

I agree, winning the price battle, the performance clock-for-clock battle & the speed battle - would be a major coup and great PR for AMD. The street doesn't seem to be too impressed ... yet.

Then again, Intel might pull out all the stops - and they've already stated, "We could launch Willy any time we wanted". <g>

Dave - who still doesn't see any brand advertising.

re: "If AMD could just get a extra speed grade or two from T-bird now..."

Do you really believe that Dresdon/Copper is not yielding substantial numbers of better speed bin splits?

I am convinced that it not only has it but that it is building inventory in at least two higher speed grades so that it can play its trump cards, when the opportunity presents itself, in "SPADES."

COMMENTS?????

Jim- Dan Niles was pretty bold in his pumping of Intel at the London conference- he was very bullish ($200?). What is the chance that this is the crescendo of a classic pump and dump?
