Have to agree there, businesses which have free product as a part of their model have some fundamental problems IMO...

e-machines has a huge market share. i am not saying buy the stock of e-machines. i am saying the cheap computer manufacturers hurt the dells, compaqs, ibms, hewlett packards, etc.

Yes Dog, you have clarified the many adversities faced by Dell for years.
So how is it that Dell has $7 bil in the kitty, ~1$ bil invested in 80 companies,after-tax earnings of around $2 bil,5 bil treasury shares worth 225 bil if they chose to buy an accretive company( which they won't),
is selling over $50 mil/day over the net,is growing at multiples of the industry rate, will soon become #1 in world computer sales and is facing its best revenue year ever per
MSD.
The answer should be that Dell overcomes adversity and will overcome the potential parts shortage.
