Wrong mb, but: DSI is open ending. That is good news in a way since the discount will be closing. We'll be getting a 'free' 15% or so thereby (most of which already's in the price). It's also bad, since I for one don't want to own Dreyfus's open-end fund, and I'll have to find the next-best closed-end equivalent as the transaction proceeds and the discount closes. -mb

Barb, This one is very interesting to me, because I not only own DSI, but I was one of the first shareholders of A Bonds Plus when they introduced it. As usual, I have mixed feelings. I like the idea of a new 52 week high in the fund. However, I dislike the fact that another low risk/high yield CEF is being taken off the deep discount list.

In general, I recommend selling soon. There is no sense in waiting for the buyout and all the handwringing that goes with it.
