Ten,

I said that investors view SDRAM/DDR licenses as more valuable than DRDRAM licenses.

You said: "Then why hasn't Rambus simply dumped RDRAM in the gutter? Surely if DDR is so much more superior than RDRAM, and Rambus' success is no longer tied to RDRAM, Rambus would have no more incentive to push RDRAM anymore."

I'm having a little trouble following your argument. I was talking about investors point of view. You are talking about the company management's point of view.

I am listening to Micron's conference call live on the web. When asked about RDRAM wafer starts for the second half of the year. Micron claimed their customers have not asked for any increase in RDRAM wafer starts in the second half of 2000 and RDRAM starts are currently at a negligible level percentage wise for the company. Their wording was a bit harsher than my paraphrasing. Granted, they are Rambus haters, but that was surprising. For those interested, the CC replay should be available here later maybe an hour after the live call is over.
