How much of this hit to WCOM is just because of the uncertainty?

I bought MSFT at 65 earlier this month because it was hit hard by the uncertainty. But everyone really knew what would happen.

With regards to WCOM, if the merger doesn't go through, WCOM can look at Nextel or Voicestream or build its own infrastructure. If the merger goes through, everyone is happy. Whatever happens, it seems to me that the stock will go up.

Any opinions?
