Well that's true of any criminal penalty. Are you outraged at jail sentences too? [Yes I know as long as your alive you can prove your innocent].

It is not done in the name of an individual, but a faceless mass, or mob, if you will.

In a society that highly respects life, the death penalty would always be an option for heinous acts of murder.

So really what you're saying is that guilt or innocence has nothing to do with it. You oppose the death penalty, period, even if the maggot scum kills dozens of innocent victims.

So maybe you should stop with the red herring of mistaken identity, innocent people being put to death, etc.
