Capacity To Change....

>>The capacity to change - to mutate, if you will - was written into the founding documents of the nation by the people who produced those documents, who anticipated that future generations might have different purposes and imperatives. If you don't like the changes you are of course welcome to argue your point of view and attempt to influence the political process, as is everyone else.

I'm by no means happy with all of the changes, but I don't expect that my preferences will be given any more credence than anyone else's. I still think that without the designed-in capacity to change without a total overthrow, our form of government would not have survived nearly as long as it has.>>

Yep.

We can change the nature of the debate, but only by asking positive questions.

Like: How can I act to make a positive difference in the world today in ways which can have a powerfully massive radiating influence on the way others perceive themselves, others and the world around them?

If you take a step back and observe, much of what we know to be "political debate" is all about asking negative questions.

Like: What gives that guy or those people the "right" to think they can get away with saying, acting and doing those things?

Negative vs. Positive questions

The quality of the questions we ask determines the quality of the actions we embrace.

If we ask negative questions we will more likely embrace negative actions which fueled by jealosy hate, anger and resentment.

If we ask positive questions we will more likely embrace positive actions which are fueled by a sense of community, service, caring, compassion and love.

The negative way uses tools which judge, label, define, restrict, regulate and limit the freedom of others.

The positive way uses ONE force which comes from the clouds - RISK - which believes, dreams, exposes, trusts, cares for and even dies for the chance for others to be free, happy and unlimited in ways which are more likely to "help and serve" others.

Two mindsets:

1) The first believes in fixed pies so all the debate centers around fighting for fixed pieces - ie. dog eat dog, win vs. lose, right vs. wrong.

2) The second believe in growing an unlimited number of unlimited pies so the debate "goes higher" and shifts toward the positive spectrum to consider NO LIMITS, great posibilities and more freedom because of the trust and belief that people CAN - if given a chance - be responsible while living a life of service.

The second way embraces RISK and is how ALL positive change throughout world history has occurred.

The first way wants to cling, possess and control what's already there out of the fear of it somehow passing away.

It's the difference between building dams which block the flow of water in the River out of the hidden agenda belief that one can always monitize the energy of moving water....

....vs.....

....tearing down dams which allow people to "jump in the river of life" so they can experience the exhilarating feeling of being one with the energy of the river which moves us all.

It's the difference between not hoping, not trusting and not having faith....

...vs....

......hoping, believing, trusting and having faith.

I'm just one of those small little people who believe faith CAN move mountains and that things CAN change for the better and that we all CAN make a massive, positive difference in the world.

Peace.

GO!!

It has survived, but not well. In the process much freedom has been lost.

You may feel your views are somewhat represented, but in my case, there is not one candidate running for any major political office that I can agree with, philosophically or politically.

I feel totally disenfranchised, and every dollar taken from me in taxes angers me as most of it is used to support programs I am diametrically opposed to -- so I have been forced into the odd position of economically supporting causes and programs that I believe are evil.

"The capacity to change - to mutate, if you will - was written into the founding documents..." I hope you meant advance and not mutate.

What if the founding documents are amended and changed to such a degree that further advancement is stultified and paralyzed, then what? Mutate into a different life form and slide back into the primordial ooze?
