I anticipate renewed interest in QCOM now that the quarter's over. I think funds will start to flow money into QCOM, given its depressed price.

The downside risk is nominal [in my view] at this juncture. We'll see; maybe today will start the northern trendline.

Wait, let me write this down. This is new information.
QCOM is a broken stock.
It has been dead money for 5 months.
It is in a downtrend.

About waiting for the bb to be violated (sounds illegal) before buying more...

Q has been surfing down the 20 day bb ever since mid April. The only breaks in this have been during the end of April and the first of June. The stock moved upward and sidways. Stocks don't violate bb...

askresearch.com

...because they are lagging indicators as are most TA signals. What appears to be a violation in the past is only one because the stock went back up. If the stock continued down, the violation would be insignificant as the stock would continue surfing downward, following the adjusted falling bb.

If you really want to know what is going on...we have formed the left side of the cup and are now doing the cup's bottom...the downside is not even significant to worry about.

The only problem is that the right side of the cup will be around $160....and even though a high volume breakout there would signal the next rise...you would have missed out on $100 points.

Frank and I will be drinking from the cup the whole way.
Frank, did you know I was this good at TA? <g>
