downfall had nothing to do with online message boards:

10:21 ET NetIQ (NTIQ) 39 1/4 -12 (-23.4%): Trades sharply lower after JP Morgan suggested (in pre-market note) that the quarter could be back-end loaded. Hearing from sources at JP Morgan that the firm now coming out in defense of stock, viewing selling in reaction to the statement as overdone.
