Re benchmarks, from today's register:

Intel and BAPCO 'just good friends'
When we asked Intel last week what they were doing to alleviate their self-professed 'difficulty' with benchmarks not showing how well Rambus really performed against PC-133 SDRAM, they told us: "We're working with the major benchmarking organisations to develop more realistic test methodologies which will show the kind of performance of which Rambus is capable."

But it wasn't until Van Smith, Technical Editor of Tom's Hardware Guide, suggested we checked out the other Register, the one which lists domain names, that we discovered the grisly truth: that BAPCo, the benchmarking outfit that all hardware review sites rely on, is working closer with Intel than is seemly.

In fact, 'incestuous' might be the word we're looking for here.

A google search gives a lot of interaction between the two:

So do not play the game that Intel has not suffered body blows, many of them, and a few knockdowns, it has run it's course.
Face it, Intel is a company in decline and AMD is ascendant. Intel is larger than AMD, of course, but for how long?

AMD has hit Intel with some hard body blows (after AMD barely survived the previous round). AMD is coming back strong and is in my opinion the better investment right now, but it would be a bit premature to say Intel is in decline and AMD is ascendant. Intel is probably bigger then AMD for
a long time, maybe for ever. Of course if AMD becomes only 1/4 the size of Intel in terms of market cap, AMD will have been an incredible investment.

It would be a mistake for a two year old child to derive from the fact that he grew 2 feet since birth that he will therefor be 12 feet tall at age 12.

Intel in decline?

You are simply amazing !!

You post lies about Intel's profits and when confronted with the real data, you make up fantasy stories.

Too bad you never bought any AMD shares, Jackson !
