Sorta close, but I had used the same opening prices and got slightly different bases.

0.2101513X (old tax basis COMS shares) for COMS
0.7898487X (old tax basis COMS shares) for PALM

Did you round off the 1.483974012 ratio?

PS. I saw 21.02% and 78.98% published somewhere too; the last press release, think. For those that might not care to go out 7 decimal places :-)

Sh A. F. & Alski re: cost allocation - Why'd you use the opening prices on the 28th instead of the NASD close on the 27th? Granted, there's only a $0.0056 per share difference for COMS and a $0.0038 per share difference for PALM, but I was just curious.

(Yeah, I know - nothing better to do with my time . . .)
