~h~Texas school system rates as low as Florida and all states receive Federal Funds for Education ;-) Our basic
education system is researched in the Rhodes Think Tanks
at Oxford University, England and shipped to Harvard for
refinement then to the NEA for distribution in the USA.
Now don't yell at me...I was screaming at the Super'
of Schools in Connecticut in the 60's when they introduced Modern Math and Phonics FrAudian Psycology and SEX. I raised hell and my kids were tutored by ME. More seniors were at McDonalds than in school then. Now we wonder what happened ???????????

TP, I knew that most of the money for Texas schools was local but, out tax money is being spent for schools in other states that have their hands out, big time. That's what I don't like about federal school programs. Let each state take care of their own.

As long as your sister is not with NEA, I have no complaints. There is a large number of teachers in Houston, primarily of certain ethnic groups, that couldn't hold a teaching job if it were not for the NEA pulling strings with a liberal administration. Houston also has a miserable excuse for a mayor. All he does is put on shows, and build sports arenas, while violating proper funding procedures. That's on of the many reasons I will not live in the city limits. ~H~
