Thread,

Just a comment.

We have seen several reports today that due to chipset MB issues the Duron has been delayed in the market by several months.

HOWEVER AMDS management has LIED to investors repeatedly by saying that infrastructure was NOT a problem.

What faith can anybody have in the company and management when they screw up and can't fess up about it.

regards,

Kash

<Did anyone catch this? The Duron platorm in quarter 3 is listed as an AMD irongate chipset, not as a VIA chipset. This may explain the lack of Duron systems. It definatly is a motherborad issue, and the shocket A motherboards are being saved for the Athlon. AMD may be ramping up irongate production after all.

Nice Catch! So, as I said earlier, AMD management knew before earnings that chipset support fell through.

Interesting, I remember reading somewhere that GigaByte was coming out with an Irongate Socket A motherboard, I remember thinking it was odd at the time. Hmmm...

Kindest regards,
