AMD better get their act together with regard to infrastructure support (especially 2-way and 4-way SMP systems) as well as OS and software support. Otherwise, once late 2001 rolls around, Sledgehammer will indeed become a "true paper launch."

You can bet that Intel won't have any of these problems once McKinley is launched.
