Glad to see the 1 GHz was not cut to sub $500 as the Register had said. AMD must have some good info that the onslaught of PIII 1000 MHz chips isn't quite the invasion it was hyped-out to be.

The REGISTER's prices must be for the 1.2 GHz intro.

Dave,

Even with those price cuts - ASPs should be just fine in Q3 and Q4.

There is no price cut. AMD just increase the clock speed 100 MHz and kept prices the same. The fastest chip is as expensive as the old fastest chip etc.
