Note: Some short-seller chatrooms are notorious for posting precise points of shorting, covering, boxing. . .even percentage of positions. . .for the purpose of "controlling" a stock. This has been allowed to continue unabated for some time. . . but recent talk by the SEC is that they have their sights set on all manipulators. . . and are just gathering up their evidence.

Speaking of "boxing in", anyone notice how boxed ADAP has been today. Real tight at 24. INCA always has shares at 24 and the 1/8.

Any opinions?

KT

ESHR has market cap of 79 million with 63 million in assets and only 25 million liabilities. Means the street is valuing the company itself at 41 million. They had a tiny loss last Q but managed 21 mill in revenues or 84 minimum annually. This has to be one of the most extremely undervalued companies around along with ADIC, NOVL, UIS, IFMX and LOR. Out of favor now but when that tide turns, look out above. VZ also a bargain now at 10 PE. As soon as the strike ends, and it will -

Posting for manipulation: this is a close relative of "pump and dump" and is at least highly immoral if not downright illegal.

Imo, the purpose of posting buys/sells (at least by me and most everyone else I see on this thread) is to provide public information that can be used by everyone to assess trading systems, money management techniques, and risk/reward strategies. Reasonable bouts of whining and chest-thumping (by everyone, including me) is to be expected and adds to the spice of life. We are HUMAN, after all.

That said, I have good reason to thump my chest today and very little to whine about:

AKAM...posted buy at 68 5/8
JNIC...up 7 to 60 (50% gain from just a week or two ago)
SVNX...posted buy today at 32
CS...long since 8/4 at 27
GNSL...posted buy today at 13 5/8
FNSR...took healthy profits at 33 and 32 (from 24)
WFII...posted buy at 46 7/8
NXTL...posted buy at 52 3/4
ADPT...posted buy at 22
UIS...took partial profits at 11 3/8 from posted buys at 10

Some of the others I'm holding: A, ADIC, ADAP, ANAD, AOL, ATML, CICI, CLRN, CNQR, CNXT, DITC, EMLX, ENGA, EXDS, GLW, HEAR, HLTH, IBM, IFMX, ISLD, LEXG, LRCX, LPTH, LU, METHA, MSFT, NTRO, NVLS, SCMR, WRLS, TFSM, THTH, IPIX (new buy today at 8)

Losers? Yes, but not too many and not too bad: AETH was the biggest recently...bought the other day at 145, sold at 140 on a chart reversal...still waiting to re-enter. I also had 1 and 2 pt losers recently on ELON, NBCI and ADAP, as well as ever-changing fortunes with "FiberSam" and OMKT.

Many more are in my "Bonehead" post # 31945 from 8/14/00. All information was/is from public sources, SI (Rande's thread, primarily), and various free charting and news sites.

FWIW, I currently own or trade about 60-80 issues at any one time. Some positions are very small (I do not own 100k shares of GLW, for example, though I certainly wish I did!). But, as Rande has pointed out repeatedly, small positions can make money AND help reduce risk through diversification.

The Rande Is...Home Thread, imo, is a wonderful library filled and continuously refilled with valuable knowledge and experience benefiting all who take the time to read, study and think (entertaining, too!). Besides that, I can't think of a single good thing to say!

All the above is my opinion only. Regards to All...another beautiful day--Mark--
