Hello thread, I'm thinking of going long with a medium-sized investment. What is the educated consensus in the current quarter, given the unprobable backlog and the strike? Does everyone here feel the $.06 consensus is reachable? What about revenues? QOQ & YOY look outstanding!

TIA,

Dave

Pat. It seems to be very volatile to keep buying DSL stocks without taking advantage of it and trade them a little. Also consider the basket approach as the sector is just emerging and no clear leader in sight yet. I like VRTA a lot, but still I invest in both GSPN and VRTA, plus some ITXI today. I prefer chip makers as they tends to have broader coverage of the market than equipment makers unless you buy diversified equipment leaders such as ALA.
Good luck.

I saw this on the Yahoo board, don't know if you read it. "In
addition, Siemens won a $600m order with Deutsche Telekom, which we believe
includes as many as 2m ADSL modems, each containing a $15-$20 Virata (VRTA-$62-
Strong Buy) chip. This could mean $35m in chipset revenue for Virata over some
period of time. In the June quarter, Virata recognized a total of $21.5m of
chipset revenue. "
