BS. What he did in his misspent youth does not interest me unless he was committing murders, etc. If he did in fact have a substance abuse problem and beat it, more power to him. JLA

Ann Richards readily acknowledges she has a substance abuse problem and is battling it one day at a time. I'd rather put someone like that in the White House than someone who had a problem (still has a problem?) and refuses to acknowledge

If you would rather put Ma Richards in the white house YOU have a drug problem..<gg>

Do you research and/or care about lying to you and America? Do you want a President that can't identify a fundraiser event? Have you compared positions/statements by Gore from one point in time to another? Do you perceive Gore a strong and vital leader? Would you follow him into battle? It is good to see you are doing your due diligence. I believe that will lead you to the more honest, moral, strongest leadership and that will be Bush/Cheney.

flapjack, Bush refuses to answer the, insulting, suggestion that he used cocaine. He will not play into that vicious media game. He has admitted that he had a drinking problem, and that he has quit all consumtion of alcoholic beverages. I don't know about you, but having been a drunk myself, I know that when one crawls out of the bottle, and gets his brains out of hock, he has a much cleared outlook of the "real" world, and is not subject to flights of fancy.

Also, I don't know where you have been the last year, because this accusation has been thoroughly covered on this, and other, threads. ~H~
