MM: I couldn't agree with you more. I am sick and tired of all these negative comments about the unfairness or trickery of China's negotiating position with respect to the adoption of CDMA. Comments from all of the skeptics are based on absurd accusations that are all in bad taste. It is ironic that most of the poor information that has stirred so many bitter emotions have stemmed from the press in Asia, especially the AWSJ. The press has done an extreme injustice to the 3G process in Japan, China, and Korea. I didn't realize these journalists relied on tabloid tactics to get headlines. I would like to give kudos to the Reuters reporter, Pottinger. He has written some excellent article on CDMA in China recently.
