Perhaps, preceded by an early black powder, or bow season. We should also allow old age pensioners a decent shot at them, by permitting them to hunt without purchasing a license and not having to follow bag limit rules. This would cure a lot of ills and give people something legitimate to do with the millions and millions of firearms they own. Boone and Crocket could establish a set of rules to measure the trophy worthiness of various categories of lawyer. A judge might be a more desirable trophy for example than a D.A. A tobacco company lawyer would be the most sought after trophy. This would do a lot to promote clean air, healthier lungs and fundamental truth in the court rooms of the nation. There would a boom in taxidermy. I can just imagine a successful hunter going into the taxidermist with a brace of lawyers. "Would you like them mounted?" asks the taxidermist. "No, er ... just standing next to each other will be fine thanks." Of course there would have to be appropriate hunting regulations. No using hookers or Mercedes for bait. Building a hunting blind near an ambulance station would also be illegal. Hunting calls that make a noise that sounds like a fender bender would not be permitted and cries of "Whiplash!" (guaranteed to attract a lower species of lawyers straight to the hunter using such a deception)would be strictly prohibited. After all, this is a sport. This is not an attempt at eliminating an entire species and thereby causing the ecosystem to suffer the results of the loss of a primary scavenger species. I say all this as I have watched a friend lose all of his life time savings and possible earnings in the next five years to get a divorce. His ex-wife got nothing out of this, he has nothing, the lawyers have it all. A bit more than $200,000 in legal fees. This in spite of a "No Fault" divorce law. A noble profession indeed.
