Come on guys, it's nearly the end of the quarter and hardly anyone has submitted their guesses for Goutama's contest. There are some wide varying opinions on the stock and I am curious to see what all of you think about 3rd quarter earnings.

Regards
Ed P.

david:

Three major sources of revenue growth next year are:

1. an increasing ASP from current $100 closing the gap to INTC's ASP of $175 to $200...

2. increasing volumes as AMD's consumer expansion accelerates and as AMD makes some not insignificant inroads into the mobile, workstation and server spaces...

3. increasing flash output...

I would guess that $7 billion in revenues and $5.00 eps for Y2001 may be attainable, assuming continuing strong PC and flash global markets, which I do!!!

At $26, the market is currently discounting an AMD total collapse...After all $26 was the price in November '99 on the heels of a string of disastrous quarterly earnings reports and pre-Athy...In stark contrast to the disater scenario currently discounted into the price of $26, AMD will probably report on Oct. 11, a 4th successive revenue and profit record breaking quarter and delineate in its conference call future prospects anticipating more of the same as the Athy enters its exponential growth phase...Can't help but feel if AMD does report record breaking revenues and profits on Oct. 11 that an instant price revaluation will take place on Oct. 12 as it will then be apparent to most that, unlike its major competitor, AMD continues to execute almost flawlessly...
