>50 caliber?
Well that's not a sporting arm anymore, <

Them's fightin words, Podnuh! <g>
I have a .50 caliber handgun which is mighty sporting, thanguhvurraMUCH.
And for sniping coyotes in the middle of beanfields (typical range 500-800 yards), there is nothing, truly nothing, for that job like ... a varmint rifle, single shot, bolt action, handbuilt around the mighty 50 Browning Machine Gun round.

So you say a .458 win mag isn't a sporting arm? Then I guess you've never been to a .50 Cal. shooting event. There are loads of people which live to sit on a range and shoot paper at 1000-1500 yards with single shot 50 BMG rifles - Oh I'm sorry, you don't find paper shooting a "sport"?

The ranges I frequent don't have the "idiots" you speak about.

btw I've seen people hunting Elk with a .458......
