T,

The markets are amazing. Nothing like a little war panic to mess with the already bizarre sentiment.

Here a good example of TA in action. QCOM sells off on garbage. The commentators try to calm the audience by saying its nonsense. But QCOM just keeps selling off anyway. What changed from 85 to 65? Guess we'll find out someday ;-)

Briefing.com last night:
"Qualcomm was hit late yesterday, with some sources citing news of QCOM-killer technology from Australia. The news was from an Australian subsidiary of an Irvine-based bulletin board company, and boasted of "revolutionary wireless technology." Even if the claims are true, which is far from clear given the source, the news would actually be good for QCOM. The company claims that the technology is a base station which can process multiple wireless protocols such as CDMA and GSM. There is no protocol here that will challenge Qualcomm's CDMA; there is only equipment which will make it easier for GSM providers to also offer CDMA. If true, this would be good for QCOM. It would only be bad for base station vendors like Motorola (MOT), Ericsson (ERICY), and Nokia (NOK)."

Hi Teresa:

A little humility is good for everyone, but it's clear from what I've read so far that you are long past the "Hope" stage in your endeavours. I'm just busy trying to understand the rudimentary aspects of all this to the point where I will not be too embarassed to take the course.

Meantime I note that you refer in the text to +D1 and -D1 but I don't see them on any of the charts that you have published. Is there a reason for that , that can be explained in words of one syllable??

I also noted your smiling face on the same page as a news release on BWAY a day or two ago. BWAY is a stock that I have been trying to understand in the hope of spotting any turnaround that might happen, however when I call up the Adx on the Candle chart the + and - lines only serve to confuse me, and to-day's Doji adds to the confusion. I know you're not running a free consulting service for non graduates, but if you have any brief clarifying comments they would indeed be appreciated.

P.S. Did you find the pot of Gold in Ireland??You probably sold it on this morning's POP LOL

Rgds
Trev

Here's my monthly chart of the SPX. I've extended it back to the late 1880s :)
