Years ago when Archie Bunker was in his first season, I worked in the Arctic with a black man. He wore a T-shirt with "Archie Bunker for President" on it. He loved the show and never took it seriously beyond being what he called good humor. It seems everyone laughed a lot easier then. Now, thanks to thought police and class warfare, people seem on edge about their speech "hurting someones feelings". And it always seems to be someone with a "cause" that going to be the saviour of the oppressed.

X... are you comparing murder to someone defacing public/private property?

People HAVE THE RIGHT TO HATE OTHER PEOPLE. That's their 1st amendent inalienable right.

What they don't have the right to do is violate the rights of others, especially the right to life. Since we all have this inalienable right to live, pursue happiness.. etc, it is irrelevant why they murder, but that in murdering they have permanently denied someone of their most basic inalienable rights.

If you focus attention on "hate murder" against a specific segment of society, then by its very nature as a "special crime", it desensitizes people's outrage about "normal murder"..

Btw, I heard that same joke over a year ago, but the brunt of it was directed against blonde women...

Why should I be more outraged about the joke being altered to focus on gay men?

The joke was a play on words, namely "cereal killer"...

And in fact, I believe it was originally spoken as a "Pollock" joke...

You really need to lighten up..... That joke could be reconstructed to involve whatever race, sex, or creed....
