Let see... the distributors have their prices, their SKUs and the sales force will have completed its training by the end of this week. Do you really think that the launch date is the end of November?

The P4 prices are low but this is not a Christmas item.

Are we entering into a new era of low prices and low volume?

Dave B. re: PIII promotion
This is turning out to be a major deal. Intel is buying time on prime time TV to focus on the PIII. (Saw a new commercial last night on Frasier).
The promotion is also the major news on Intel's home page.

Making the internet as powerful as our processors.
Performance takes center stage with the power of the Pentium III.
Let the Blue Man group show you more.

The commercial's seem to have major focus on the III in PIII. You can view the two commercial's here. "Paint" and "Keys"

What's intriguing is the timing. With P4 supposedly scheduled to be announced next month, this expensive PIII promotion has to raise questions in some minds.
