My 2 cents on announcing a stock because you are scared of shorts...I think it is an over blown premise unless you are talking about a stock with a very low float. They are looking for over-run momo stocks for the most part and do not care about a post announcing a moving stock.

Rocklobster...now you've hit a very "personal" nerve and one that I've noticead bigtime ...sometimes I think that as soon as I make a call that looks good, it takes a downturn because I've put out a signal to shorts who are'nt "with us" but are "using us" ...

..now this is something our group has talked about often and I'm not sure what we should do about it....really I don't have a clue.

Once I noticed it happening, I stayed quiet myself with some runners like EPNY and PHCM, which I put an initial call out on, then saw it dip but held on myself...
EPNY since 64 and PHCM since 90 1/2...I no longer have them as I took profits, but I know exactly what you're saying...

It makes me think I should be trading on my own and not making calls at all sometimes....honestly.
