Interesting:

Jude Wanniski of Polyconomics, the ultimate political insider and the economist who best understands the links between politics and the markets, says his sources are saying Gore is ready to give up on pursuing a re-vote in Palm Beach County.

That's the good news. The bad news is that "Gore's lawyers are at the moment eyeing Broward County, where there
are 4,000 ballots in Gore country where elderly voters did not press down
hard enough on the punches to record the vote -- but where a hand-recount
with magnifying glasses might be able to detect the indentation."

The "cold civil war" as Adam put it, continues

jhild, <The issue of the double punched ballots however is
more troubling especially given their format and especially
given that they were used in a county heavily populated by
the elderly that went heavily for the person trailing by a
handful of votes. And especially given the large number of
ballots disqualified.>

Around 400,000 didn't have an issue punching the card. What
was their excuse?

The elderly are not stupid and they voted before. A lot of them don't like Gore or Bush. So they voted for Buchanan or punched 2 to void the ballot.
