<<<Very, very soon, as religion continues to become less prominent in America and Christians become a minority, the Republicans will realize they can draw more support from the pro-choice crowd instead of the pro-life crowd and they will drop pro-life from the party plank.>>>>

I find your reasoning a bit flawed. It sounds like you are saying if the Republicans become more like the Democrats then they can pick up more votes. Also I think you underestimate the Christians. Since you never know who will convert to Christianity you never know what the future holds. Take Charles Colson as an example, the hatchet man for Richard Nixon. He takes the heat, gets convicted, goes to prison, next thing you know he is a strong believer in Jesus Christ. For many years now he has been held up as a man of integrity, truth and convictions and doesn't hold back in exposing those advocates of gay rights, prokillers, etc, most of which belong to the Democratic party. I believe that if the Republicans assume the same platform as the Democrats a new party will emerge.

I'm not sure I follow you.

msnbc.com

I simply said that Republicans have always have a big tent inclusive of everyone. In fact it was the Republican party who passed the civil rights act in the 60's and the Democrats who battled furiously to block its passage. This is not my opinion but rather the cold hard facts.

FWIW the link I gave you was to one of the 4 main television networks NBC and not a magazine article.

You certainly didnt offend me in any way. You and I both share two things in common......our right to free speech as well as our SI right to the ignore poster feature.

Take care,

Reid
