Hi Mark - not sure hackers are a monolithic bunch. The crackers may seek financial gain. There are also anti social people out there. Let's not forget cyber terrorism is a clear and present danger! To confine it to financial gain potentials, you'd be surprise. Unsubstantiated that may be, $3 to $4 billions were spent on elections this year. This is quite an attractive target, if you ask me. How about foreign countries seeking friendly elected officials!

Of course, there is also the general mistrust of assigning #s to the general public.
