Duke,

Almost everyone is a member of a political party and has a bias. The problem with the SOS is that she is a key figure in Bush's campaign, and is looking for a position in the Bush Administration.

This is a serious conflict of interest.

<The SOS should dismiss herself, given her own personal agenda with a Bush Administration.>

I agree with this - because of her conflicting role in the Bush campaign. I think this is pretty obvious, especially since she ignored one of the Florida Statutes.

However, I also agree (to argue in Bush's favor), it is concerning that Florida Supreme Court doesn't have a 50-50 balance between R & D.

I prefer a fair and accurate decision, more than anything else, so I would prefer an equal balance between Reps & Dems in Florida's Supreme Court and for Harris to be pulled out. Something equal, fair, and balanced.
