On a percent basis..the same will turn up for both..but when you have many huge number of votes and a larger percent democrats then number of democrat votes will be higher.

Now the only way to truly do it fairly would be to hand recount all the counties..heavy repub and heavy democrat..but there is no way to do this before the deadline for the electoral college to meet.
