I don't doubt Gore played a role. But I hardly see any of these comments as proof of his vision. There were alot of politicians involved in the process before and after Gore. Gore just happened to be high profile.

Not that he didn't play a role, just not as much as these politically-tinged comments would have us believe. And certainly not as much as he would have us believe with his exaggeration.
