NT isn't going to do nothing my friend to the Nasdaq until this election crap is over. Oh yeah if they stop downgrading the high flyers, that might help too.

t2, I would say that anyone that knows and owns in the sector suspected as much from NT. It needed to be said. this latest barrage has been somewhat based on valuations but has taken down (especially NT) good companies to attractive to even cheap levels, imo. JDSU, RBAK, GLW, Ciena, etc may get a boost. Ciena still needs to get through the formal announcement of losses from the failed CLEC in Europe to be clear, imo. JNPR is still trading at 165X next years estimates and about 35X next years revenues (estimates). Thanks for pointing that out. tp

JNPR, CSCO, NT, and their suppliers are going to rally.

I hope you are right. I definitely don't have enough exposure to this sector and am looking at shorting more on any strength tomorrow.

One thing I learned about staying long the semi's too long earlier this year is that when things go to shit, you will hear it last from the companies themselves. It's the opposite, they pimp their own stocks so the insiders can sell out.

This has made me cynical of any "positive" news coming out of any company that has exposure to the CLEC's and vendor financing. Debt implosion is around the corner and I find it hard to believe company insiders are stupid enough to not see this coming.
